Utility Shutdown Westwood Blvd and Wilshire Blvd 

Summary 

The water utility for the 10900 Wilshire Bl building is anticipated to shut down from March 28 to March 29. The work supports the construction of the future Westwood/UCLA Station. Three eastbound lanes will be restricted on Wilshire Boulevard between Gayley Avenue and Westwood Boulevard, and the left-turn pockets will be restricted for westbound Westwood Boulevard. 

When 

Date: April 4 through April 5 

Work hours:  10pm, Friday to 10am, Saturday 

Traffic Control: 

  • Wilshire Bl will be reduced to one lane for eastbound between Westwood Bl and Gayley Av.  

  • The left turn pockets on for eastbound traffic on Wilshire Bl and Westwood Bl will be closed 

  • Intermittent closures of the crosswalks will be necessary on the west closure. 

Noteworthy: 

All work has received the necessary permits and approvals. 

Access to driveways, residences & businesses will always be maintained unless notified in advance. 

Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones. 

Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained. 

Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone.
