Utility Installation Work - In Alley Between N Canon Dr and Beverly Dr                                     April 17, 2025

Summary 

Starting Monday, April 21, the contractor will fully close the alley driveway entrance on Wilshire Bl (between N Canon Dr and Beverly Dr) to begin potholing and concrete breaking activities in preparation for permanent utility installation. Concrete breaking and steel plate installation will begin Monday and may continue on Wednesday, April 23. Non-concrete breaking utility installation and alley restoration work will occur during nighttime shifts. 

When 

  • Closure start date: April 21st   

  • Closure duration: Approximately 3 weeks  

Work hours:  

  • Daytime concrete breaking activities: 8AM-4PM (April 21 and April 23 only) 

  • Nighttime utility installation activities: 8PM-6AM 

Traffic Control: 

  • Ingress and egress into the alley will be restricted during the work activity due to the location of the manhole access.  

  • All ingress and egress will be accessible through N Canon Dr.  

  • Right turns onto Wilshire Bl from the alleyway will be restricted.  

  • Flagger will be on site to assist with motorists as needed.  

Noteworthy: 

  • All work has or will receive the necessary permits and approvals. 

  • Access to driveways, residences & businesses will be maintained at all times unless notified in advance. 

  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones. 

  • Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained 

  • Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone. 

  • Construction is dynamic and schedules are subject to change.
