Van Nuys Bl from Oxnard Street to San Fernando Rd: Street Restoration Work

The East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit (ESFV LRT) Project will improve connections and access to crucial destinations while connecting transit users to the growing network in the San Fernando Valley. The Southern Segment of the project includes a 6.7-mile at-grade alignment that will operate in the center of Van Nuys Bl, from the Metro G Line (Orange) Van Nuys Station to Van Nuys Bl and San Fernando Rd.

SUMMARY
As part of the ESFV LRT Project, Metro will conduct street restoration work along Van Nuys Bl from Oxnard St to San Fernando Rd. The street restoration work is being conducted following completion of exploratory soil investigation work and will include short-term traffic impacts due to lane reductions.

DATE AND WORK HOURS
Monday, October 2, 2023 to late-October 2023, from 9:00am to 3:30pm (Mon-Fri). Weather permitting.

LOCATION
Van Nuys Bl from Oxnard St to San Fernando Rd. The work will be performed in the following segments:

Van Nuys Bl between Oxnard St to Arminta St
Van Nuys Bl between Arminta St to Vesper Av
Van Nuys Bl between Vesper Av to San Fernando Rd

WHAT TO EXPECT

Short-term traffic impacts due to lane reductions along Van Nuys Bl.
Parking restricted in posted areas, please follow the signage.
Bus stops may be temporarily relocated, as necessary, please follow the signage.
Equipment in the street, work trucks, pavement restoration, traffic control set up.

NOTEWORTHY

Van Nuys Bl will remain open with lane restrictions.
Access to private driveways, residences, and businesses will always be maintained unless notified in advance.
Access to emergency responders will be maintained.
Construction is a dynamic process and work schedules and timelines are subject to change.
The road will be fully reopened to vehicular traffic and parking daily after work hours.
