Weekend Full Intersection Closure – Wilshire/La Brea                                                                           4/22/25


Summary 

Beginning at 9pm on Friday, June 27, and continuing through 6am on Monday, June 30, Wilshire Bl will be fully closed between Mansfield Av and Cloverdale Av. In addition, La Brea Av will be fully closed between 6th St and 8th St. This closure will support final paving in the Wilshire/La Brea intersection. A detour route will be available. 
 

When 

  • 9pm on Friday, June 27, through 6am on Monday, June 30. 

  • Two contingency weekends may be used in the unlikely event that work cannot be completed on time: July 11, 2025 through July 14, 2025; and July 18, 2025 through July 21, 2025.

Metro bus stops may be relocated or lines could be impacted. For changes to Metro service, please call 323.GoMetro. Passengers are encouraged to use the Transit App to plan their travels.

  • All work has received necessary permits and approvals. 

  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of the construction zone. 

  • Access for emergency responders will be maintained.

Unhoused Persons 

Metro Construction Relations staff will notify and coordinate with the appropriate Los Angeles City Council District when a person experiencing homelessness is identified on City property (e.g., streets and sidewalks) near a Metro construction site.
