Cross Passage 36 Street Restoration Work 

Summary 

The contractor will perform demolition, curb, gutter, underground electrical, and sidewalk restoration work along the south side of Wilshire Bl from S Reeves Dr to S Beverly Dr and along the east side of S Beverly Dr from Wilshire Bl to the alley. Construction activities on Wilshire Bl are scheduled to begin on Tuesday May 5, 2026, with work on S Beverly Dr scheduled to begin on Monday, May 18, 2026. All work is anticipated to be completed by June 26, 2026.  

Where

• South sidewalk along Willshire Bl between S Reeves Dr and S Beverly Dr.   
• East sidewalk along S Beverly Dr between Wilshire Bl and the alley.  

When

• Anticipated Wilshire Bl Start Date: Tuesday, May 5th   
• Anticipated S Beverly Dr Start Date: Monday, May 18th  
• Anticipated Completion Date: Friday, June 26th   

What to Expect

• Sidewalk will be closed. 
• Pedestrian access along Wilshire Bl and to 9454 Wilshire will be maintained via a protected pedestrian walkway behind K-rail adjacent to the existing sidewalk.  
• ​​​​​​​S Beverly Dr pedestrian access and to 9454 Wilshire will be maintained via ADA compliant walkways during working activity. 

Work Hours

• Daytime Work Hours: 7AM-4:30PM (Permitted noisy activities performed from 9AM-4:30PM) 
• ​​​​​​​Nighttime Work Hours: 8PM-4:30AM  

Traffic Control

• Minimum 5-foot pedestrian access will be maintained through a protected K-rail pathway adjacent to the existing sidewalk and ADA compliant walkways. 
• Access to 9454 Wilshire building will be maintained during work activity  
• Traffic control devices, including signage and K-rail barriers, will be installed as needed around the work zone. 
• Wayfinding signage will be installed to direct visitors and pedestrians along the south side of Wilshire Blvd and to 9454 Wilshire. 

Metro Access

• Metro bus stops may be relocated, or lines could be impacted. Please call 323.GoMetro for details.

Noteworthy  

• All work has received necessary permits and approvals. 
• Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of the construction zone. 
• Access for emergency responders will be maintained.
