Wilshire Bl between Carson Rd and Willaman Dr: Concrete Pour

Summary 

The contractor will perform material/equipment delivery and removal, utility maintenance services and concrete pours to support ongoing station construction. This work will take place primarily during the day and intermittently at night. Closures will be implemented in phases to minimize traffic impacts.   

Where: 

• Wilshire Bl between Carson Rd and Willaman Dr 

When: 

• Anticipated to start Tuesday, September 15, 2026 through Wednesday, October 7, 2026.  

Work hours:  

• Daytime: 7am - 4pm 
• Nighttime: 8:15pm - 7am 

Traffic Control: 

• The middle lanes of Wilshire Bl will be closed to accommodate the construction work zone.  
• Two travel lanes will remain open in each direction on Wilshire Bl, with traffic maintained on either side of the center work area.  
• Traffic will be shifted around the work zone using temporary traffic control devices to maintain eastbound and westbound traffic flow.  
• The existing bus stop near S. Willaman Dr will be temporarily relocated during work hours. Metro will coordinate with bus operations in advance of the temporary relocation. 
• ​​​​​​​Parking on Wilshire Bl will be impacted on the north and south side of Wilshire Bl during construction. 

Noteworthy: 

• All work has or will receive the necessary permits and approvals. 
• Access to driveways, residences & businesses will be maintained at all times unless notified in advance. 
• Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones. 
• Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained. 
• Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone.
