This monthly notification is an outline of construction activities for the month of September 2026, pending City of Beverly Hills approval. Additional notices detailing these activities will be sent by email through the D Line Extension, Section 1 database. To be added to the Purple (D) Line stakeholder list for weekly updates, please email us at metrodline@metro.net        

• Final paving work is anticipated to continue in September, with work to be performed over the last weekend of September. Wilshire Bl between La Cienega Bl and Stanley Dr may be reduced to one lane in each direction the weekend of September 26th. Intermittent access to side streets may be provided and driveway access on Wilshire Bl may be impacted during this time. Details are being developed and updates will be provided in a future construction notice. 

• In September, the contractor may continue civil restoration on the north and south side of Wilshire Bl between Stanley Dr and San Vicente Bl. Replacement of curb ramps at the NW and SW corners of La Cienega Bl and Wilshire Bl intersections may take place. Signed pedestrian detours will be implemented. 
• To facilitate this work, Wilshire Bl may be reduced to one or two lanes for 2 to 3 week durations. Partial closures of Le Doux Rd and Stanley Dr at Wilshire Bl may take place with flaggers on site to assist with two-way traffic. These closures will be implemented on individual blocks of Wilshire Bl between Stanley Dr and San Vicente Bl. More details will be available in future construction notices.

• Intermittent full closures of Tower Dr, Gale Dr and Hamilton Dr, north or south of Wilshire Bl, and intermittent lane closures on Wilshire Bl may be implemented to support civil restoration or instrumentation removal. These closures may be short-term durations, conducted on weekends and weekdays as needed typically during off-peak hours. Left turn restrictions from Wilshire Bl to side streets and San Vicente Bl may be in place. 
• Intermittent single-lane closures on Wilshire Bl between San Vicente Bl and Carson Rd may be implemented to support ongoing work activities for the Wilshire/La Cienega Station. These closures may be implemented during off-peak and peak hours as needed, in addition to weekend hours. Full sidewalk closures may take place on the south side of Wilshire Bl between La Cienega Bl and Hamilton Dr. Signed pedestrian detours will be implemented. 
• Right turns from southbound San Vicente Bl to westbound Wilshire Bl may be intermittently restricted through September typically during off peak hours.  
• Intermittent directional closures may be implemented on westbound or eastbound Wilshire Bl on some weekends in September. Additional details for this work will be available in future construction notices. 
• Northbound La Cienega Bl may be reduced to two lanes between Gregory Way to just north of Wilshire Bl for ongoing restoration work. Southbound La Cienega Bl may be reduced to two lanes between Clifton Way and Gregory Way for ongoing restoration work. Sidewalk closures on the east or west side of La Cienega Bl and crosswalks at the Wilshire/La Cienega intersection may be impacted. More details will be provided in future construction notices. Lane reductions in both directions will not occur simultaneously except during night or weekend work hours. 
• La Cienega Bl may be reduced to a single lane in each direction between Clifton Way and Gregory Way on weeknights and on weekends. Wilshire Bl may also be reduced to a single lane in each direction between Hamilton Dr and Le Doux Rd on weeknights and on weekends. Turn restrictions at the Wilshire/La Cienega intersection may be in place. Crosswalks at the Wilshire/La Cienega intersection may be restricted and signed pedestrian detours will be in place.
