Metro’s plan for less congestion includes improvements to the Southbound I-605 South St off-ramp. As part of the I-605 Hot Spots Program, this project adds, a right turn lane and a standard deceleration distance for motorists exiting the freeway. By reconfiguring the South St southbound off-ramp, the project will help ease congestion, enhance mobility, improve public safety, and improve regional traffic flow.

As the initial stage of construction-Stage 1 has ended, Metro’s Contractor, Powell Constructors will perform the following work activities during Stage 2A from Thursday, August 22, 2024, to Spring 2025.
