Navigating the system requires a few specific steps. Review these digital tools and resources before your trip.

  • Visit the Rider Page: Check the official Metro Rider page for comprehensive station information, schedules, and rider tips before traveling.

  • Get the TAP App: Regular Metro fares apply. Download the TAP app to purchase fare, manage your account, and use your phone to pay. Standard TAP cards are also available at station vending machines.

  • Download the Metro App: Plan your route and track real-time arrivals directly from your smartphone.

  • Use the Transit Safety App: Download the LA Metro Transit Watch app to report non-emergency safety concerns directly to Metro security and request assistance during your trip.

  • Look for the Green Shirts: Metro Ambassadors and staff are available throughout the system. They support riders, answer questions, and help visitors navigate the network.

Community Advisory Council: Join the June 24 General Meeting

Metro’s Community Advisory Council (CAC) will hold its General Meeting on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. The CAC serves as a vital strategic bridge between the agency and the public, ensuring rider perspectives actively shape regional transportation policies, programs, and services. Composed of dedicated transit advocates, the council provides direct, community-driven recommendations to the Metro Board of Directors on key initiatives. This month’s gathering features a collaborative working session focused on committee programming, critical bylaws updates, and the election of new CAC Executive Committee members. Adopt-A-Bike Mini-Grant Opportunity Opened June 1

Metro opened the application period for its Adopt-A-Bike mini-grant program, which support community-based organizations and nonprofits in redistributing unclaimed bicycles to individuals with high mobility needs. Each year, bicycles are left on Metro buses, trains, and other properties. Through this program, selected organizations help return those bikes to productive use by connecting them with people who needed reliable, low-cost transportation to reach work, school, services, and other essential destinations. Metro D Line: Reaching Key Milestones This June

The Metro D Line reached significant project milestones this June, bringing the expanded transit network closer to completion. Structural concrete placement was officially completed at the Century City Constellation station, allowing operations to move fully into 24-hour underground interior construction. Simultaneously, crews at the Wilshire/Beverly station wrapped up intensive work phases by decommissioning heavy equipment and advancing final street restorations along Wilshire Boulevard. While these finishing steps required temporary lane and sidewalk detours, they marked exciting, visible progress for the community. |Project Webpage
