Community Activation Along the Slauson Rail-to-Rail Corridor

This Sunday, September 27, TRUST South LA is hosting the second monthly community activation along the Slauson Rail-to-Rail Corridor. From 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, community members are invited to enjoy a free day of wellness activities, community art, live music, refreshments, and family-friendly programming across three activation hubs located at Compton Avenue and Slauson Avenue, Figueroa Avenue and Slauson Avenue, and 4th Avenue and Hyde Park Boulevard. Metro staff and Low-Income Fare is Easy (LIFE) teams will also be on-site to connect attendees with transit programs and resources. October 1: Public Safety Advisory Committee General Meeting

Metro invites riders, community members, and partners to attend the upcoming Public Safety Advisory Committee General Meeting on October 1, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM. This gathering will provide updates on ongoing public safety initiatives, facilitate committee discussions, and offer dedicated opportunities for public comment. Metro BIF Workshop for East San Fernando Valley Businesses

Small business owners along the East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit Project (ESFV) alignment are invited to a Metro Business Interruption Fund (BIF) Application and Informational Workshop on October 8, 2026. Metro's BIF program provides financial assistance grants to eligible small businesses experiencing revenue loss or financial hardship due to major transit construction. A Line Service Alert: Duarte/City of Hope Station Closure

Metro will temporarily close the A Line’s Duarte/City of Hope Station on Sunday, September 27, from 3:00 AM to 4:00 PM due to scheduled Southern California Edison (SCE) maintenance work.

During this closure, free bus shuttles will replace train service between the Irwindale and Monrovia stations to keep riders moving. Regular train service will resume immediately after the maintenance work is completed. Riders traveling through the area should plan for extra time. | Service Alerts

C Line Service Alert: Crenshaw to LAX/Metro Transit Center

Beginning tonight, Friday, September 25 at 9:00 PM, through Sunday, September 27 at 2:00 AM, C Line train service will be temporarily unavailable between the Crenshaw and LAX/Metro Transit Center stations due to I-105 ExpressLanes construction.

During this closure, the Hawthorne/Lennox, Aviation/Imperial, Aviation/Century, and LAX/Metro Transit Center C Line stations will be closed, and free bus shuttle service will replace train service along this stretch. K Line service will continue to operate normally at Aviation/Century and LAX/Metro Transit Center. Riders should allow extra travel time. | Service Alerts

Aviation/Imperial Station and Hawthorne/Lennox Station Bus Bridge

Metro C Line riders should plan ahead for a temporary bus bridge in place from Friday, September 25 at 9:00 p.m. through Sunday, September 27 at 2:00 a.m. due to construction for the I-105 ExpressLanes Project. During this time, the Aviation/Imperial Station and Hawthorne/Lennox Station will be temporarily closed, with bus shuttle service operating between the LAX/Metro Transit Center and Crenshaw Station. Metro D Line

Wilshire/Stanley Final Restoration: Commencing on Friday, September 25, from 8am to 6pm, resuming on Saturday, September 26 at 6am, and continuing through Monday, September 28 at 6am, Wilshire Bl will be reduced to one lane in each direction between La Cienega Bl and Willaman Dr. This work will be the final weekend of paving restoration and will be performed in two phases. Nightly Closure – Southbound I-405 Ramps: Southbound I-405 on- and off-ramps to eastbound Wilshire Bl will close nightly from September 25 through October 23, from 10 pm to 5 am. I-5 North County Enhancements: Eastbound Valencia Bl to Southbound I-5 Straight On-Ramp Closure

The I-5 North County Enhancements Project will implement a continuous, 24/7 full closure of the Eastbound Valencia Bl to Southbound I-5 Straight On-Ramp from Tuesday, September 22 through October 2026. This marks the project’s eighth and final ramp enhancement under Phase 2 of construction, improving traffic flow and safety, reducing congestion, and improving travel times throughout the corridor. Full Freeway Closures Ahead: I-105 (I-710 - Studebaker Rd)

As part of the I-105 ExpressLanes Project, nighttime full directional freeway closures are continuing this month. Construction is beginning on I-105 between I-710 and Studebaker Rd, as crews restripe lanes to establish work zones and safely advance the next phase of construction.
